After saying that Kevin Kolb will be in the starting lineup next Sunday, Andy Reid flip-flopped and announced that Michael Vick will start until further notice. Reid didn't give a reason for changing his mind, but some think it's because he doesn't think his offensive line can protect Kolb. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out, because Philly can't play the Lions every week.
Either way, a QB controversy started by the head coach can be the kiss of death without a winning season and play off berth. But most coaches are 3 losses away from unemployment.
He has multiple tools, and has shown that he can get his team to the Bowl. If Philly decides to go with him as their starting QB, they have to be considered as a contender in the NFC East.
There's never been any doubt about Mike's physical talents but his lack of a good "brainpan" and incredibly bad life choices have always held him back. I still maintain that he's not been as fast since he hurt his leg a few years ago. He used to NEVER get caught from behind or run down but it happened pretty frequently after he returned from the injury. Word has it here in the Atlanta area that he couldn't understand the Falcons offensive system when he first got here and they had to simplify things to an elementary school level in order for him to grasp it. I actually would like to see him do well because everybody deserves a second chance.
