Manning was the ONLY QB that could replace Tebow

Based on Tebowmania in Denver, John Elway found the ONLY available QB he could legitimately sell to the fan base as a replacement for Tebow without suffering tremendous backlash.  It was obvious that Tebow was never Elway's guy, so he must be thrilled to have Peyton on board. It's high risk/high reward. If Manning fails, it could set the Broncos back for years.

I thought Peyton would sign with the Titans. He knows the division well, the weather is good, its a small market like Indianapolis and because of his college career, he is beloved in the state. Obviously San Francisco's talent base is way above Denvers or Tennessees, but I never thought he would sign there. Something about mixing Peyton and Jim Harbaugh together didnt' seem right. It will be interesting to see if the 49er's now bring back Alex Smith or if Smith signs elsewhere (Miami perhasps?)

ESPN just reported that Manning told his agent to open up contract negotiations with the Broncos. In almost the same breath, it was also reported that Denver will begin shopping Tim Tebow as soon as the deal becomes official. When it became obvious that Manning wasn't going to retire, I was hoping that he would sign with Tennessee, but Denver seems to be the firstest with the mostest and bestest offer.

his best chance for another championship-the 49's would have been in this year's Super Bowl but for the fumbles of a butterfingered kick returner who blew the game-I wish Peyton the best but don't think he'll get back to glory with the Broncos-now where's Tebow going? Elway obviously did not want him running the show in Denver-

What teams will be interested and what are they willing to give up.

Jacksonville has been mentioned, as has Miami. The market would depend on what a team would be signing him for, a backup or a starter. Someone mentioned New England as a possiblity because Belichek likes players with Tebow's versatility.

Use Tebow to wear down the defensive line , then bring Peyton in .

With the miniscule salary Denver is paying Tebow , they should keep him.

The question Denver needs to think about  , who will replace Peyton if he can't handle  the impact ?
