New Year's Day for the Big Ten. Or, is it eleven soon to be 12? Big . . .

10 teams played in five bowl games on January 1 and lost all 5 games;  Alabama over Mich. St., Florida over Penn State, Miss. St. over Michigan, TCU over Wisconsin, and Texas Tech over Northwestern.  don't think it will be any better with Nebraska since Washington kicked them a few days earlier.

Only change for a win is with sweater vest led tatto boys against Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl on Tuesday night.  Ryan Mallet will have something to say about that.

To top it off, the Big 10 officials fucked Kansas St. in the Pin-Stripe Bowl with the now infamous "salute call".

What say you mid-westerners?

of the Big 10/11/ 12-shouldn't the NCAA consider moving them to Division II?    OK, Cheap Shot-sorry, Sorta-lol
And the 'salute' call was pure chickenshit-Officials like that shouldn't even be allowed in Pop Warner-Geez-cost them the game-a disgrace that the contest was decided because some zebra goes on an ego trip-One of the worst I can recall-----
And I'll be looking forward with baited breath for comments explaining the collapse and utter fecklessness of the Big 10-smile   1rob.....SEC rules the girdiron...Go Auburn!...make me some major bucks....grin....OUT   8-)

Alabama finished as the #4 team in the SEC West, and Mississippi State finished #5 in the SEC West. Everyone had been saying that this was a "down year" for the SEC. Good thing for the Big 10 that it's been a down year, otherwise Saturday would have gotten really bloody.
