then why not fight him? no one else in the weightclass stepped up. sonnen is a middleweight, jones lightheavy.
Then, everyone else on the card and everyone else working as the result of the fight gets to work. So jones keeps his belt and everyone else gets fucked.

as a fan, i wish jones wouldve took the fight. as a logical man, you have to know why it would be dumb to do. and i just dont like sonnen, so im glad he isnt getting (another) undeserved title fight.
as for the undercard fighters, dana should still pay em, split the winners purse in half and pay each fighter. as for them not fighting, unless someone comes out with a huge KO, i usually dont care about the no names. just my preference. most of them will never make it anyway, not as stars at least.
