More Cleveland housecleaning.

ESPN News has reported that Danny Ferry is close to leaving as Cleveland Cavaliers GM. I sort of expected this, especially after Mike Brown was fired. They need to have a GM in-place b the time the free agent feeding frenzy rolls around, and having a coach by then wouldn't hurt either. These hirings may go a long way to keeping LeBron James in Cleveland.

He listened to the media too much especially the "analysts" over at ESPN.

He made too many complex trades late at the trading deadline which involved heavy player turnover and it seriously disrupted team chemistry in each of the last two years. In both seasons the Cavs appeared to be jelling right at the time the trades were made.

What is the point in having a 4 week training camp and 10 preseason games when you are going to trash half your roster midway through the season? These types of moves are reserved for teams like the Clippers and Timberwolves and not a championship contender.

They traded for Antawn Jamison at mid season after trading for Shaq in the offseason. Wasn't Shaq supposed to be the missing link?

Now all they need is a coach that LeBron agrees with.

No coach or GM wants to be in a situation where a star player has to sign off on everything. front office moves, or play selection on the court nobody wants that stress. I think Ferry knew how ugly it's about to get in Clevland.

I thought Ferry actually did a great job as GM, If i were the Blazers I would be flying him to Portland asap!!!
