The new inductees were announced today. Among the new members are Pat Stovall, Desmond Howard, Pat Tillman, Barry Alvarez and Gene Stallings.

Am i the only one who feels this a lack-lustre class?

There are no names that reach out and grab you as being genuine stars. I love Gene Stallings because he won a National Championship at Alabama, but otherwise, he had a mediocre career at best. He had a losing record with Texas A & M and the St Louis/Arizona Cardinals and won less than 100 games in college.

Gene Stallings survived pure hell as one of the "Junction Boys" with Bryant at A&M in the late 50's. Although he was an incredible assistant with Pat Dye and other future great coaches at Bama when they were winning championships during the early and mid 60's. He was also a great defensive coach under Tom Landry with the cowboys for 14 seasons and a super bowl. He really achieved his best time with a solid defense with the '92 Bama team that beat Miami in the Sugar Bowl for the National Championship (yes I was there).
