I think they are going to win it. They have everything to play for while the Dead Skins don't. With the pending house cleaning that will occur at the end of this miserable Skins season many of the players have to know they are on the chopping block. So why would they risk getting hurt (and putting a new contract at risk) for a game that means nothing to the skins?
Bad part of all this is Tasha gets to say how great her team is. Really like Tasha but can't stand her team
Don't know your reasoning for that statement, none of the Colts first team played during the second half, the team deciding not to risk injury before the playoffs start. Most teams rest the starters before the playoffs instead of risking them getting hurt.
However when you look at the big picture, you also saw the number one reason you got to sit Manning and make sure he is healthy.
THIS TEAM IS WOEFULLY PATHETIC WITHOUT HIM ESPECIALLY AT BACKUP QUARTERBACK.
Without him the Colts are one and done in the playoffs and the coaching stuff gets roasted with the media and the fans if Manning gets injured in a meaningless game.
Sure the fans are mad now but once the playoffs start they will get over it. If Manning get injured in this meaningless game and misses a playoff game, the Colts will never live it down.
Fine needle to thread between staying sharp, staying healthy and keeping everyone happy but this decision made sense. I count myself happy Manning didn't get hurt in the first two and a half quarters. Now I sit him for the entire final game. Have a few intense simulated games with Manning in a red shirt during practice and hope everyone is sharp come playoff time.
Colts losing to the Jets, at home. Colts had perfect season on the line, and shouldn't have pulled their front line starters. Jets were still alive, and now control their destiny regarding the play-offs. Prediction: despite homefield advantage, Colts are no SB lock. Jets s/b happy if they get to the play-offs...anything further is a bonus.
Saints losing to the Bucs, at home, leaving HF advantage in the air. Bucs were 2-14...no way a SB contender loses to to team like that late in the season. Prediction: Saints need to regain focus fast, and have to play their frontline starters next week, for the whole game. No lock for the SB either, though it appeared they were a month ago.
G-men crushed by Carolina, at home. Prediction: With the win by the Cowgirls tonight, the G-men have nothing to play for next week, so they'll probably win. After the season, G-men need to retool the defense, particularly the secondary. Also need to consider getting a better RB...Jacobs increasingly looks like he s/b moved into a FB position. Hate to say it, but we never got over the Burriss debacle...
It will be interesting to see the odds and spreads in Vegas in two weeks...
....you get mindless blowhard dribble like the poster above. Must be the spirits of the night working or just a blowhard who feels they need to tell the world how it is. Are the Giants anywhere close to the playoffs and does anyone care????? Sometimes it is just better to go quiet in the night.
