I did not think that it was Elin who might have scratched him up and he was trying to get away after she went after him with a "golf driver" in her hands.
It did strike me as odd that the story went from "Woods seriously hurt in car accident" to "Woods treated and released with only minor scratches on his face." Really? after hitting a fire hydrant and a tree? to "Elin used a golf club to help get him out of the car." Seriously? if someone has to use a golf club to smash a back window to help get someone out of a car, this is no small accident to only escape with minor facial lacerations although it is possible.
Interesting that the police department waited a full twelve hours until after he was released to release their report.
Clearly, not a good Thanksgiving Day by any means in the Woods household. I just hope the kids were in bed at this hour and far away from this scene because it is not a good environment for any child.
Fully expect him to cancel his appearance at Sherman Oaks next week to "rest and "recover." Also my money on that impending divorce / separation announcement just went up. Probably after the New Year but before he start his 2010 tour schedule in late Jan. / early Feb. That is only if he really wasn't seriously hurt in this accident.
My prayers and best wishes go out to him and his family. He's one of the truly good people, and not just in sports.

A major reason for all his "golf" appearances all around the world in recent weeks including China and Australia.
The affair was kept under the lid until the alleged mistress decided to start talking about her affair with Tiger and "her love" for him which made it impossible to ignore anymore.
I imagine the Thanksgiving dinner conversation was not very pleasant, an argument ensued and it caused him to takeoff in a fit.
It happened with Annika and Greg. Tiger is not immune to athlete, celebrity, politician, and TV personality infidelities.

If I recall, earlier this year he made news suggesting the NY Yankee ticket prices were to high. Naturally then he would be going to a Black Friday special.
Like:
1. How does a golfer with great hand eye coordination like himself get into an accident like that without being drunk?
2. Why is there a blanket "no alcohol involved" from the onset.
3. He was ticked after she threatened to expose his steroid use if the divorce settlement is not generous enough.
4. He thought she was asleep and tried to sneak out for a late night tryst. Somehow he crashes, wakes her up and she comes after him with a club?
5. Drifting "in and out" of consciousness from a low speed accident does not make any sense at all. The only way you "drift in and out of consciousness" is if you are drunk, driving at a high speed or she was clobbering him in the head a few times with that club. That would have an effect on the brain. Instead of calling the cops, he tried to get away, lost consciousness and control of the car then hit the hydrant and tree. If this was the case, his wife clearly has a vested interested in "helping" him out of the car to avoid battery charges against her.
No wonder LE waited twelve hours to get their story straight and they still can't. This story is pretty much out of control now. A few could lose their jobs for attempting a cover up to protect Woods and family. Happens with celebrities and alike everyday.

My guess is this is how it went down.
Nike, IMG, and his adviser's told him to be a man and come clean realizing they had already lost control of the story. It does not look good for him to admit that you just got beaten by your wife but at least he did the right thing and tried to get away rather than hit her back. Now that he has thrown her in effect under the bus, she has her own PR damage control to do plus look for a way to avoid any serious criminal charges. The focus has already changed to her rather than his infidelity.
He gets the chance to file for divorce as a victim of domestic violence and probably saves himself a hundred million dollars in a settlement even though any settlement will already be huge plus he can question her fitness to be a mother if it gets to that point.
LE went to their place to interview him this afternoon and she informed them he was sleeping and to come tomorrow. Yeah right, he was really talking to Nike, IMG and his adviser's about the best report to file. Wish everyone was given such a chance.

I love Tiger but this story has more holes than a wheel of swiss cheese-makes more sense that the wife and he had a spat or that he was coming home at that time and she met him with a 9 iron or was it a pitching wedge? Are there grooves in Tiger's facial wounds? Lots to conjecture about but this story doesn't fly-and was the rear window broken BEFORE the crash-I suppose it will come out in the wash but the story line here is an obvious crock-1rob...OUT
