..I'm a traditionalist and a gearhead.  It would be nice to see the Indy500 return to the glory days of a couple decades ago...The Mears', Andretti's, Unsers, etc. doing battle.  There ain't nothing like the atmosphere at a track....be it the big leagues or your local dirt track.

I am. Hopefully it won't be affected by rain tommorow (30% chance)

The CART/Indycar split years back still affects the race to this day as far as popularity. It is getting some of it's old swagger back but it's still not the same to some people.

I think they need to go back to having the different engine combos. When you had Chevy,Ford,Buick,Cosworth,etc all competing against each other it was really compelling. Now its just all Honda. It's a cost cutting thing but its taken alot from the race.

Also the speeds just don't get up to where they used to. It was becoming a safety hazard to the drivers, but qualifiying and practice drew much bigger crowds when they were breaking records every year. Arie hit 237mph back like 12 years ago and now the pole is at 226.

I have always been an Andretti backer, Team AGR hasn't really been able to keep up with Penske and Ganassi all month but its a long race. Go Marco!!!

Danica's ok for a race driver, but she really isn't that hot compared to porn star type girls. I am not sure if she is that much better than Sarah Fisher on the track, she has just always had a better ride. Sarah doesn't have much as far as looks, but she has always done ok with poor equipment.

Milka is hot if you like that latino flavor, but she is really awful as a driver. T
