Yankee fans shouldn't have A.J. Burnett to kick around anymore. Pending approval by the commissioner's office, Burnett will be traded to the Pirates for 2 minor leaguers. The Yankees will also pay between $13-18M of the remaining $31M on his contract. Burnett is 34-35 in 3 seasons in New York. The trade makes sense for the Yanks, getting rid of part of Burnett's salary and his other baggage. It makes less sense for Pittsburgh, although a change in leagues and teams may help. There's no pressure in Pittsburgh.
