Prince Dannny Snyders' announcement yesterday naming Bruce Allen, son of George, as the new GM of the Redskins came like a thunderbolt from on high to DC.

No one predicted the The Prince would throw his lap dog Cerrato down the stairs content as he has been to meddle in the actual running of his toy Professional Football Team for the past 10 years!

Hiring and firing, buying free agents, like stock options and warrents, its been so much fun for Dan, no one thought he would give it up by hiring a real GM! This is a really fun game, by the way, any one of us could fill with equal skill I think if we had 100s of millions of dollars. Anyways, he has cast his close friend aside and hired a proven successful football team manager in Bruce Allen.

Now why you ask did he do this? After all the latest management decision to remove play calling responsibilties from the coach is working great! They even won their last game.  

Well my cynical mind thinks its mostly about money for Danny. Thousands of season ticket holders have given up on the team and made very clear their intention to not renew next year. Sure cant blame them based on the dropings from Danny that drip down on them month in month out like the banning of all signs at FedEx Field last month, signs virtually all negative btw  (they were a hoot),...hastily changed back after extensive negative press converage exposure. Oh and then of course there is the actual record of the team but you get my drift.

So the young Prince decided maybe playing with his team might not be as much fun as actually winning with real football people who have proven they know how to do this.
