since this is the sports board, im assuming you mean better sports? but since football is still onths away , preseason DOES NOT COUNT, what are you talking about? please dont tell me you think golf or nascar even come close to counting as sports. in america, we have 3 sports. football, basketball, and baseball. they matter in that order, not just to me, but in terms of revenue, fans, and every other measurable.

i really feel like white people ( NOTE: im white) tend to trash the nba because ALL THE BEST PLAYERS are black. it certainly isnt because the entertainment is less than say MLB or the pga tour.

you named 2 sports. baseball and (arena) football.

golf and fishing are hobbies for the athletically challenged.

nascar is what i do every single day on I-95

bull riding is the redneck version of what they do in spain, basically a death wish.

i have no problems with people enjoying these activities, or even those that prefer them to basketball, but they are not sports.

Kweezy , Don't know what white people you be feeling but they aren't me .
 Doesn't every team have some white players ?  I'm asking, I don't watch the NBA .
  If so , wouldn't the white is right crowd be watching hoping their boy will excel ?
 It takes much more skill to make an Eagle on the golf course , hit a 90  mph pitch , throw or catch a 40 foot pass , box man to man without getting KO'd , than a dunk by a seven footer  with a measly 10 foot net .  
Anything more than a five minute highlight of the NBA bores me .
 I didn't like watching pro basketball when they had short  white guys playing  . I almost got hooked when I was young and more easily influenced when  Allen Iverson  often made the game interesting .
  Make it height appropriate,  raise the net up to 12 feet  and then I will call it a sport .
Bonus . get rid of the soft  touch foul calls so  rugby players aren't repulsed  .

well, since you asked, a lot of white people just do not like to watch a sport dominated by black people. that may be a debate for another site, but it is something i have found much truth in. you could argue the nfl fits the mold, but the marquee guy, the qb, is almost always white. what are there, maybe 6 black starting qbs right now? and baseball is the same, those "black guys" are usually not even black. sammy sosa, robinson cano, and many others, are hispanic. a lot of white people cannot stand the thought of watching black people dominate anything. its just a fact.

i do not argue the skill involved in golf. i just argue that it is not really a sport. it takes some skill in poker, but despite what espn will have you believe, it is not a sport. boxing too. thats just 2 dudes fighting. i did that in school twice a year.

basketball can't please everyone. nothing can. but it is in great shape. it has the best athletes, the biggest stars, a still growing international appeal, and is in a great position to grow with the young talent it has in the nba. i dare you to find me a sport without flaws, potentially fatal flaws. the nfl with the way they fine guy for hits. ronnie lott could never play in this nfl. mlb with the steriods, which you would be naive to believe are gone from the game. boxing, with what just happened to pac-man.

Last night's game was the first I've ever watched from start to finish and I enjoyed the hell out of it.  Now, back to baseball.
