I hate to admit that I know this...

Canisius is a Jesuit Catholic college.  If you'd like, I could give you directions to the front door of the place.

BTW, you should go carrying weapons.  It's not a great neighborhood.  At least it wasn't last time I was there.

At 35 and slowing down, he's still better than 2/3 of the NBA's other starting Point Guards.  At least it looks like they're trying to put a watchable product on the floor for '09-'10.  Runnin' and gunnin' returns to Phoenix!

He fell the the third round and I won the league with Lebron leading the way......but Nash was key in my victory.

he plays absolutely no defense. He is no longer even in the same league as Paul, Williams, Rondo, Roy, Rose, Parker, Billups, and a few others I can't remember. Notice I didn't even mention Kidd. Another point guard that doesn't play defense.

They are just delaying the inevitable at this point, trying to give the people a semblance of what was so enjoyable and popular for a few years with D'Antoni there.  It didn't work then with a fuller lineup, and the lineup is thinner and older now.  If it didn't work in 2005 or 2006, it sure isn't going to work now.

It's too bad, because it really was awesome while it was at it's peak, and it definitely was more fun from a fan standpoint than watching the Spurs slug out an 87-82 win, but it was one-sided, and that's why they lost.  When they played the best teams, those teams could run with them and yet could get the stops when they needed to.  Look at the last two champions...that's what made them win.

Signing Nash is only to placate ticket buyers, but the Suns are going to have to rebuild soon.

...fans. They always try to have one or two white stars in the starting lineup. Remember Alvan Adams, Paul Westphal, Dan Majerle just to name a few.

The Suns entered the NBA in 1968 when Phoenix was probably 95% white and today it's probably still 80-85% white.

Assuming that Hispanic converts to "white", otherwise I'd say that figure is high.

and they have 4@5 starters are black - although a friend of mine said if you had a black&white TV, you could not tell with Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer LOL

No Nash, is a ticket seller and is more a symbol of fans who are more loyal to the player rather than winning

pretty much black. Now the Red Sox, which is idolized by Boston, is pretty much white. I don't believe they have one black player, and just a couple of Hispanics and Asians.

so it more than likely that any one team would have no black players - its just happens to be Boston.  Interesting in AA/hispanics...my hometeam Orioles, have only one black starter, Adam Jones...although Melvin Mora like many hispanics look black.

players in MLB is so low.  Maybe because so many are now playing football, which seems to attract our best athletes?

...and weren't they also the team that had an unwritten rule about not allowing black fans to sit in the bleachers?

And don't you think the Celtics moved Heaven and Earth to sign the great white hope -- Larry Bird? He got the highest contract for any NBA rookie up to that time.  He was the 6th pick in the draft and he got more $ than the five drafted before him.  Why?

Bill Russell said he did not play for the city of Boston but for the Celtics.  Also, vandals broke into his home just to shit in his bed.

Maybe Boston moves ahead of Phoenix in the racist race.

They were at that time the "whitest" team in the league. lol

Westphal, Majerle, and Nash all fit a particular mold...offense first.

Nash is the face of the franchise and a two time NBA MVP.

Did they not bring in Shaq because he wasn't white enough?  Or Sir Charles?  Or hire Terry Porter?

Dude, not only is your post r4eally reaching based on absolutely nothing but conjecture, it is offensive.

...for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and who did they pick as the second-best player in the draft -- Neal Walk!!  NEAL FUCKING WALK!!!  Are you kidding me!?! In the pantheon of great Jewish basketball players, Neal Walk couldn't carry Nancy Lieberman's jockstrap.

Larry Fogle was a better Jewish basketball player. He even went to a Jewish college -- Canisius (Knishes!).  It broke my heart in the pre-ESPN days to find out Fogle was black, not Jewish.

Go look at the Suns rosters over the years since they joined the NBA and compare the percentage of black vs. white players with the rest of the league.

Did you also know that in the old days the NBA had a rule whereby more than half of the team could not be black?

had Michael Jordan playing for them.  Indeed, everyone (Phoenix included) loves a winner irrespective of whether his skin color is white, black, purple or chartreuse.
