Very difficult to watch that game without sunglasses.

Auburn should have won that game by 3 td's last night. They made Oregon look like Vandy!
Your Heisman Trophy winning quarterback looked like he played for Vandy.
Auburn was the bigger, stronger team. But without one shoestring tackle on the long pass in the fourth quarter, the SEC streak of titles would have been ended.
I was not impressed by Newton.
Newton is going to be a bust in the NFL. His footwork is horrible, his release is too slow, and he has only played in 14 college games.
But now his did can cash in on his talent (as if he hasn't already)!!!
Let's not talk about "what if's." If you wanna, how bout if Auburn had scored down in the red zone when they got stopped on 4th and goal, or if Newton had hit Adams 40 yards down the field in the 3rd quarter? The point is that the shoestring tackle WAS made and Auburn went on to win the game. I'm a Georgia fan by the way but ALWAYS root for the conference in bowl games.
5 straight National Championships for the SEC speaks for itself.

Let's see; 5 straight National Championship wins by 4 different teams (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU) over 4 different schools (Oregon, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State) from 3 different conferences (Big-10, Big-12, Pac-10); that pretty much sums it up. The SEC is the dominant conference.
I was merely pointing out that last night's game was not the ass-kicking that you made it out to be.
Many turning points in the game. It's too bad that Auburn's great season will always be tainted due to the greediness of Newton's father. The cloud will always hang over the situation and that is unfortunate for all the young men who worked so hard to win the title.

and he continues to make a fool out of himself by trying to justify his initial statement. Auburn made a mistake or two, I'll grant you that. But Oregon threw a pick in the red zone. And another pic on an early drive. And nearly fumbled a reverse on a kick return. Shoot, the Ducks made all kinds of silly errors and still only lost to Mookie's "dominant" Auburn team on a field goal at the final gun.
Oh, I think it was totally an ass kicking but the score didn't reflect it. Auburn beat em up for 4 quarters but kept giving Oregon "new life" by making mistakes. But, the mark of a good team is winning in spite of themselves and Auburn did that last night. The other thing to consider is that this Auburn team was not that great defensively, gave up a lot of yards & points this year, but still mangaged to shut down the most potent offense in the country!
the Ducks throwing a pick in the red zone. And getting themselves caught in the end zone for a safety.
How anybody can call a game that was decided on a field goal on the last play of the game -- that came after a freak running play where the guy got tackled but rolled over a downed defender and then got up and ran the ball into field goal range -- an ass-kicking is beyond me?
but I have no intentions of offering this game up as evidence. This was really a sub par effort from both teams and a good argument for not waiting a month and a half between the end of the season and the so called Championship Game.
This would have been a much better game if it had been played a month ago.
but that ain't gonna happen. It has to be the last bowl game to keep interest alive in the others and to cap off the college football season.
Money talks so we have to watch two great teams play after 37 days of no games and we get a subpar performance from both teams. The effort was certainly there, but the timing was not. How else does a Heisman Trophy-winning QB miss a wide open receiver that is less than 10 yards in front of him?
Very difficult to watch that game without sunglasses.

I was less than ecstatic with the margin of victory and felt that Auburn was 10 pts better-Oregon has a terrific team and it was a heck of a game-certainly Auburn had other chances with the drop in the end zone on 4th down and the Newton overthrow to Adams with the defensive back in the rear view mirror-As to "what if's-if a frog had wings, he'd get pigeon pussy! smile I'm a Tide fan primarily, but will even pull for (UGH!) Auburn when they're playing for the National Title and representing the SEC-Pitch and Big Poppa-the Ducks were a great team and west coast football has superior offenses compared to the rest of the country, IMHO-It was close this year-but still SEC football rules-1rob...good to hear from you, Mookster!....OUT 8-)
What an ugly game, neither team looked like a champion to me.
The SEC is the dominant conference, but this was far from the ass whipping many of us expected. and I might add, this is the weakest the SEC has been for several years. They are not solid all the way through the conference like they are most years. Florida, Georgia, Tennessee all had lackluster seasons.
That's true, BUT Auburn prevailed in the one that really mattered didn't they?
Kinda sums it up quite well doesn't it Jimmy? If you don't live down here, live it and breath it everyday, you just can't understand it. The passion that Pro Football fans above the Mason-Dixon line have for their teams is alive and well down here in the college game.
Also, at each and every SEC game during the season you'll see at least 1000 Miss America quality coeds prior to kickoff! Something about the sunshine down here that does it I think.
various stadiums in the south, there are at least 5,000 hot coeds all around tailgating, in the stadium, in the bars near campus, etc. GJ has posted pics of hot Gator girls every so often. Almost makes your mouth water.
For those NFL fans, you will not find the same views even in Sept. when the weather is warm. Do the math, literally 1000's of hot coeds is far more eye candy than 30 or 40 Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders or whatever your favorite team is.
Horseshit!
And thats all I have to say about that(Forrest Gump)
