Packers over Seahawks Yes, last week was bad 1-3. Sometimes picking straight-up winners & losers can be just as bad as trying to pick games with the point spreads & over-under totals.
And I don't mean to pick on you right now, but picking ALL the favorites, and ALL the home teams in the playoffs is not exactly showing off your handicapping skills.
I am not going to criticize your picks for next week, nor am I going to make my own picks just yet, but I'll check in before next weekend and lend my thoughts for next weeks games, and yes it's easier to "lend" thoughts than sell them, you get what you pay for. lol
Even though those picks are all favorites, they are mostly such prohibitive favorites it's hard to argue with them. The ONLY one I'd go against is Seahawks/Packers. The only reason the Pack is a decent bet is they're at home and the real wild card is the weather, Seattle not being a cold weather team. But Rogers has been inconsistent of late, so I can see going with the Seahawks.
Which of course is my "nice" way of saying I actually agree with you.
I actually like all four home teams, Green Bay is solid at home, but I can't see picking all FOUR homefield favorites, and since the Pack did lose to Philly a few weeks back and the Seahawks just handled them pretty handily on the road last week, combined with the fact that Seattle is a very good road team at 7-1 and Green Bay has been the least dominant of the four favorites coming down the stretch.
As for the other three games, I think the Vikings are the best team of the bunch beating up on the Saints in the Superdome, no mean feat, but San Francisco just brings too much to the table. As for the Titans and the Texans, I think both teams were very lucky to win their respective games last week and I wouldn't just bet on them to lose, but to lose against the spread as well.
I will be honest, I am really tempted to go with the OP and take all four home teams, but I like to put a curse on your picks so I'll go with Seattle along with you. lol
