Roger Federer is now officially, the greatest tennis player of all time.  What a serving display today.

Congratulation Fed, it's a wonderful moment to see you lift that trophy.

given that Rafa has something to prove and he has been able to beat R-Fed on other surfaces of late.

Will be interesting to see how badly R-Fed wants it.

Guys like McEnroe, Borg, heck, even Lendl, were better players. The racket technology has ruined the game, just like tech in golf.

I watched the match this morning, it wasn't even close. BTW even Johnny Mac called R Fed, the best ever. However, when Johnny Mac asked R Fed, if he was the best, he couldn't bring himself, to say so. Fed just said that maybe he is up there with the other greats. Nice to see a humble guy in sports today.

Do you know ANYTHING about tennis?

Tech has changed the game for the worse. Been watching the main events for decades. Sure athletes have better medical care now and training regimenes, but the tech has taken away parts of the game that were very fun to watch. Aces aren't. They used to be more special. Sure, the diehard is going to think today's game is great, just like the diehard golf fan who goes out and buys  what he sees his favorite guy using. Tennis will continue in its lower-tiered status as long as tech rules it.
