but it was their lack of offense down the stretch that was their undoing, it was fitting that Ryan Howard made their final out, he had to be the biggest disappointment on offense of all.
Oh well, anything can happen in a five game series. I think the Cards match up well against the Brewers and I think they will end up facing the Rangers in the WS, which means you should probably load up in the Brewers and the Tigers. lol One thing to keep in mind, the Brewers have home field advantage and they have been almost unbeatable at home.
Ok, time to shift back into football mode, Go Broncos!!! Boise St,not Denver.
I'd been saying the same thing. But it was all on paper. Same with the Red Sox. Both teams were the consensus picks to be in the World Series. But I've said it many times: it's the hot team that wins, not the one with the best lineup. Look what happened to the Yanks in game 5. Scored only 2 runs and lost by one. And, like Howard, wasn't it fitting A-Rod struck out for the last out? Among the other big losers is Fox Sports. Any Series matchup will be a ratings loser for them. Imagine, say, Milwaukee vs. Detroit. St. Louis vs. Texas isn't much better. I'll be watching anyway. I'm a Yankee fan, but, ultimately, I'm just a baseball fan.
How do you not pitch Roy in game 4, then Cliff in game 5? All in all I'm pretty happy because the Brewers won, but I expect a 7 games series with the Brewers winning game 7.
