I am very sad to see John Wall going to the Wizards :(  I was hoping for at least the Thunder to get him.  Sad, very sad.

The Thunder messed up by making the playoffs and playing their way out of the lottery. Still, I don't think they would have traded their season for a shot at the number 1 pick.

I've been watching Kentucky basketball for about 45 years now and he's as good or better than anyone we ever had. The Wizards are instantly a playoff contender with him on the roster in my opinion.

Speaking of that, did you see where Calipari said that having 5 1st round draft choices was one of the greatest days in Kentucky history? Guess those 7 national championships weren't so great after all.

Yeah, I thought that was kind of an odd comment when I first heard it. He clarified the other day and said that by having 5 kids drafted in the first round, that it should open new doors in terms of recruits that have NBA aspirations. He's thinking he may have to turn recruits away in the next few years because they're gonna flock to the program...until he gets us put on probation! LOL!

Yeah, and when UK gets put on probation, Calipari will be pulling a Lane Kiffin and getting out of Lexington.

Probably. I cringe a little every morning when I log on to the Lexington newspaper's website cause I don't know what I'm gonna find! LOL!

...Calipari's rule there....he should be banned from coaching in the NCAA, that would be just too much...hold these coaches/satff accountable & just not the schools!

Calipari is just keeping it real. 5 guys in the first round is amazing, and guess who's going to get the #1 recruiting class this season...maybe Kentucky.

Trust me when I say the university has no problem with his comments because they sellout nearly every game home or away, the BB program is bringing in millions to the university, and as long as Nike is dishing out money to the program the school is going to look the other way. Who do you think is funding computer labs, girls athletics, research departments?

If my kid had a chance to bolt school and make more money then he would getting a job after graduation then I'm all for it.

I understand that he will get sponsorship deals and some kid from the ghetto who can hoop will want to play for Cal because he has the NBA on his mind.

Calipari doesn't have a championship ring and he has proven that he will cheat to get to the top.  His teams can't ever hit free throws.

I think he will give Kentucky a bad name in the long run but they are desperate. Before last year Kentucky was since they fired Tubby.

Kentucky had 5 1st round NBA picks in the worst draft ever!

I agree this Draft class sucks. And regardless if he is a cheater or not he still in many ways is the money maker for the University. So unless Ashley Judd is willing to get more movie roles and donate all her earnings to the university..then trust me the AD is not complaining!!!

Kids are not playing college hoops to get a degree in four years to join the job market. The reality is they are trying to make it to the NBA and make millions...so why not go to a school and play for a coach who has the same mindset? With millions you could go back to school anytime you choose.

and FYI your not a cheater until you get caught!!

then i'll give the floor tickets(right next to me)to someone else.

There is no teal in the League that needs the services of John Wall than Washington. They have sucked since the mid 80s. When they did win the draft lottery it turned out to be Kwami Brown who stunk up the joint. I for one am happy to see a young man with realistic star potential come to DC.

The Thunder have possibly the next huge star in Kevin Durrant. This reminds me of a time i was in a strip club in Tampa. Ron Jermey was there and the strippers were all over him. I thought to myself, Jeez share the wealth once in a while.
