Alford to UCLA?

ESPN has reported that Steve Alford will be next man up in the coaching meat grinder known as UCLA. Alford coached New Mexico for 6 years and is no stranger to high expectations, having played under Bobby Knight at Indiana. Here's wishing him good luck. He'll need it at Westwood.

The next question should be how long will his star players stay in school?  Wooden's records will go untouched because the average stays of his premier players might be 1.5 years.  The next question is does he have the learning curve of a John Calipari because it is simply intuitive that exceptional players at the highest levels will go pro as soon as eligible.
