Damn I need HELP! . . .

I have some of my picks for week 7, damn week 7 already. But some of these matches I confess I don't have a clue.  Don't say it; oh hell, I'll say it for you. "You never have a clue." LOL

Now to the point.

Miami - Denver            Leaning towards  Denver but don't let that influnce you
Wash.  - Carolina         Could Carolina beat Wash.
SD - Jets                     I want to go with the Chargers on this, I don't know. Big game for the Jets
                                 Home field and all.

For the rest of the games I have the usual suspects winning like, Ginger's Lions,  Hardy's Steelers,   Sara's Cowboys, Who Dat's Saint's,  Ravens, Browns and of course the Packers.

THE BIG QUESTION for me is KC - Raiders.    Am I just wishing, thinking the Chiefs could  win with the Raiders QB situation. You know Palmer not ready to go yet.

Well what is the collective wisdom of the football minds.

I don't need layoff, backup, juice or line (did I say that right LOL) just who will win.

Okay, you've been warned. It is by FAR the biggest money maker for the sports books in Vegas. They make a killing on the NFL. But as they say in hobbying, your cash, do with it as you choose!

Next correction: It's Ginger's Falcons..she's from Atlanta

Okay on to your dilemma games:

Denver is starting Tim Tewbow against the Dolphins, who are completely inept. Flip a coin. For some strange reason, Denver seems to rally around Tebow. Could be the last game for coach Sporano if the Dolphins loose. Winner: Denver

Washington is starting ex Dolphin castoff John Beck against the Panthers. I like Carolina in this one. I still think Washington finishes last in the NFC East. They show why here.

San Diego @ the Jets. Excellent game. The Jets need to show they can beat a good team. Game is at home. San Diego is explosive on offense; the Jets have just been offensive on offense. Tight one throughout. Slight Edge to the Chargers.

KC and the Raiders. No one has any idea how Carson Palmer will play. Expect the offensive game plan to be simplified and a large dose of Darren McFadden. The Chiefs are playing better lately (well, after the first two games, it couldn't be worse). Toss up game. In the end, Oakland by 3.

Thanks (I think) for taking my Steelers..Need to win with the big bad Patriots and Ravens on the schedule the next two weeks

Thanks for the replies and insights.

Corrections first.

"Next correction: It's Ginger's Falcons..she's from Atlanta."

Sorry Ginger. So it will be you're Falcons and Cayden Ravens.

I guess I could go with Denver here.

I think 1Rob is the Redskins fan on the board but he hasn't had much to say about his team this year. Maybe Carolina is the best pick on this one.

San Diego @ the Jets. This one could go either way. Have to give this one some thought Hardy. Now, you may well ask, "What good will that do?" Well, after some thought, I could screw the pouch and pick Houston in this one. After all I did something similar last year. LOL

I think your right on the KC - Oakland game specialist1. You realize I'm a life long Chiefs fan. I was raised less that 15 miles from Arrowheard stadium. I have driven by it maybe a hundred times. Never saw the Chiefs play except on TV. I hate betting against them.

I got Houston winning over the Titans.

Hardy when you say:

"Thanks (I think) for taking my Steelers..Need to win with the big bad Patriots and Ravens on the schedule the next two weeks"

No problem, but can't make that promise the next two weeks. At this point I don't have much faith in Steelers over Patriots but I think you got a shot with the Ravens. Maybe 6 one way and a half dozen the other.  And the Bengals have a bye this week.

If the Steelers lose here, nah let's not think about that, you got enough things to worry about like Patriots and Ravens.

Ok, I admit; I'm chuckling a little bit as I write this Hardy, but it will only linger on as a smile for the rest of the afternoon.

Miami had a short week and has a lousy team--Tebow mania wins.
Jets will beat Chargers (another one of those 1 pm games for a team from the west coast)
Redskins going with a new QB.  Cam Newton has 6 games more experience.
Raiders over a very banged up Chiefs with Palmer having a good game at QB
Bucs over Bears since the Bucs have been in London since Monday night and are over Jet lag.

I agree on the rest.

when I have seen such sloppy play i.e. poor blocking, missed tackles etc. It was getting worse over the years but his year is a whole new level. It's definitely become a pitch and catch game with lots of three and outs, so I cannot be much help. I do like how the 49ers are playing despite Alex Smith under center.

your team when Grossman is the QB  (yeaa! he's replaced this week) and Dan Snyder is the owner----the loss to -UGH!- the Cowboys was totally predictable and the lame effort vs. the Uggles hardly warranted a 'W'-the Panthers play just good enough to lose-Newton is doing well as a first year quarterback-but it's hard to bet on the 'Skins. Will be pulling for your Chiefs. Later, Buddy-1rob......Where's Joe Gibbs when you need him?!......OUT    8-)

Denver over Miami...Tebow taking over as starting QB will be interesting to watch.

Skins over Panthers...  could go either way.

Bears over Bucs in London.  Despite being 4-2, the Bus have a negative point differential, while the Bears are in positive territory.  Bucs are pretenders, and the Bears should prevail.

Jets over Chargers...Jets are 3-0 at home, and need to win this game.  I'll be there in attendance, not that that means anything.

Falcons over Lions...Falcons are a proven commodity, the Lions aren't.

Steelers over Cards.

Cowboys over Rams, despite the spread.

Saints at home over the Manning-less Colts.  This s/b a blow-out.

Ravens over Jags...Ravens are Super Bowl contenders, the Jags are contenders for first draft pick overall.

Browns over Seahawks,

Vlikings with 9 points at home vs. Pack.  I expect the Pack to win, but have to take the Vikes at home with that many points.

Raiders at home vs. Chiefs.  The Chiefs have an 80 negative point differential, which means they suck.  Palmer may not be up to speed yet, but he's likely to be good enough to beat the Chiefs at home, even if he is learning a new system.

Lastly, Titans over Houston at home.

FWIW, I won the office pool last week for the first time this year, and watching Big Blue knock off the Bills was one of the best games I've seen in person in a while.  My heart this week is with the other home team, since I have tickets to the game...J-E-T-S!

Well, I was right about most.

Denver beat the Fish, although it was ugly until late.

Panthers beat the Skins, although I said it go either way.  I now must re-access the Skins...they suck!

Bears beat the Bucs...see my analysis.

Jets beat the Chargers, and I was there to enjoy every minute of it!

Falcons beat the Lions...again, see my analysis.

Steelers had no real difficulty with the Cards, as expected.

Cowgirls took care of the hapless Rams, also as expected.

Saints did indeed win by blow-out...62 - 7. Looks like the Colts will be getting first pick overall in next years' draft, and having Peyton Manning returning.

Browns won ugly over the Seahawks.  A battle of pretenders that came out the way I expected.

Pack beat the Vikes, and didn't cover the spread.

Chiefs over Raiders.  This one is surprising, and the Raiders have huge problems at QB.  Despite the promising start, they appear to suck as well.

Houston crushed the Titans, 41-7, on the road.  I blew this one big-time...

Looks like we may again win the office pool... :)
