I hope there is at least one fan of Manchester United on this board besides me.  It is so hard to find another fellow Red Devil around here as everyone is into the NFL or NBA.  If you love United like me let me know!

I saw arunee post had been up for a few day without a reply and figured I'd give him at least a shout. Those Soccer fan are pretty fanatical and was expecting him to fire back.

I like most Americans follow the game during the World Cup and find it interesting but for the most part I'm pretty dumb when it comes to the game. Yea, I know, I know, same with football uh. LOL

I do know that MU is really big in the UK and I think another one is Chelsea.

Basically I didn't want the guy to think everyone ignored him and his sport. We could probably get something going on the board about Soccer.

Hardy could figure out the damn rules for us. GAGambler could figure a new way for us to lose money, and I could come up with lousy picks.  How you goanna bet the spread GA when a game can end in 0 - 0.

Wonder if they do "Who Dat" in Manchester?

So arunee if your there fire back. We can argue Soccer but I'm a Dodger, Chief and Boston fan so I have to have a really bad soccer team to follow.

They would be a lot better if they could play socker without all the winning and faking. Touch one of those guys and the fall down and fack a broken back. Five min. later they are running around the field.

" If you love United like me let me know!"

Is this what you had in mind?

Champions League Highlights any time soon-smile
One problem soccer certainly has is that there are more flops than at a 'Hold 'em' tournament-
A good soccer announcer-Toby Charles, Arunee, was the absolute best, IMHO- can make a game quite entertaining-
I chuckled recently when a player took a dive in the box and the announcer noted in a heavy British accent, "He required little encouragement to consign himself to the turf"  amen  1rob.....Happy New Year!.....OUT 8-)

a casual soccer watcher with the prime interest being the World Cup-but I will admit for Arunee that I'll watch a few minutes of Man U if I see they're on the soccer channel-I got my first taste of soccer in Germany where I was stationed at the time and I went to see a game in Nuremburg-for a hobbying connection, there is a huge wall which surrounds the old part of the city with the red light district being there-on the outer street-with provider window shopping -Aptly called 'The Wall"  but I digress-The game featured Bayern Munich-the Man U of Germany-and the first place team in a 17 team league v Nuremburg, which was dead last-It was interesting in that they only served warm beer and the German 'Hot Dog' was a mildly disgusting fish and tomato sandwich-It was my first intro to the wretchedly annoying vivuzelah, which were incessantly blown when Nuremburg had the ball-there was no seating except for a postage stamp VIP area and you stood during the entire game-And BTW, Nuremburg won 2-1-1rob...hoping everyone's holidays are great....OUT  8-)
