Colts lose!

So much for any undefeated team this year.  The Jets defeated the Colts, so the 72 Dolphins can breathe again.

Hi, Sarge,
Jim Caldwell, IMHO, should be shot. He threw away for his team a decent chance at NFL and sports immortality yesterday by pulling Manning and other players. Could they have gotten hurt? Sure, but it's not likely-but I believe if you're playing, you play always to WIN-Isn't that the object of sports? - and not to save people from being injured. Champions go for it; losers play it safe. I will be pulling for anyone who plays the Colts now. And we again have to put up with the smiles and smug arrogance of the effin '72 Dolphins, who alone were undefeated-Great feat-but their annual champagne celebrations have left me cold. Screw you, Caldwell, you are a disgrace. Barf me out....1rob....disgusted....later

This morning the owner Bill Poulan says that it was his decision, to not risk any injuries to the starters.  It was a close game but still, if you don't want to risk injury to starters, why not rest them in other games that are not so close?  They had plenty of chances earlier in the season where they were winning by higher scores to rest their starters, why not then to give backups experience?  Like Brett says, I am here to win!

Eff U, Don Shula-and your restaurants suck too-You made me laugh-1rob..GRRRRRR...OUT  8-)

go go unbeaten ALL SEASON.  I agree in that the Colts (I don't care who made the decision) compromised the integrity of the game.

What about the betters in Las Vegas who lost $ because of this move?  What about a team who may get left out of the playoffs because the Jets got a freebie win?

Regardless of the game, you play to win and the Colts didn't.  The NFL should fine them big time!

Now the chances were good that if the Colts played their starters (specifically Manning) for 60 minutes, the Jets prob. do not win. But the Jets put themselves in a position to win if Caldwell decided to pull his starters. They were only down 15-10 when Manning left. I thought the Jets played as well as could be expected up to that point...and to their credit they took advantage of the Colts second/third teamers
