Now on the positive side for the Yankees, it was nice to see the offense score some runs...it had been MIA for the past week.

While it would be nice to win the division, it is quite obvious that Girardi is not going to exhaust his team in trying to win the East. They will most likely face the Rays in the Divisional round (after they dispatch with the Twins or Rangers and the Rays do the same to the other team) so the extra home game is not that important...The Yanks can certainly win a game 7 on the road in Tampa.

The bottom line for the Yankees is their starting rotation. Right now only CC can really be counted on in the playoffs. IF Pettitte shows he is healthy, then you can add him to the mix of reliable starters. Burnett and Hughes are up and down, so the Yanks will have to hope for the best. But their offense is the best in baseball, so even if one of their starters doesnt have it in the post season, they can win a game like they did yesterday.

NYY schedule is so much tougher with 6 games w/ Red Sox, 4 w/ Rays, 3 w/ Blue Jays and 3 w/ Baltimore (that just swept them).

Rays have 4 W/ Yankees, 3 w/ Angels, 3 w/ Seattle, 3 w/ Baltimore and 4 w/ KC.

CC and the 4 ?'s will show down the stretch! They will be done after the ALDS...
