With all the attention on the various boards paid to Farrah, Michael jackson, Ed McMahon, and Billy Mays, there was a lesser-known, but highly influential man who was taken to his final resting place in Parkersburg, Iowa today. Coach Ed Thomas was killed last week by a former player after he had coached Iowa high school football for over 30 years, influencing the lives of countless young men and women. Everyone probably has had a coach or teacher who provided lessons in life as well as athletics in their early years. Rest in Peace, Coach. You served your community well.
