What a great weekend for a Minnesota sports fan!!!teeth_smile

Wow! Four days of great games and they are off to a great start. OPne game behind Detroit with two games to go. Baseball and football.  And they do not even have a double up on Sunday.  They get to enjoy football on Monday.  Well lets hope they enjoy themselves now and get it out of their system so that it will be our turn when our Bears meet up with their Vikings!

...I am going to stick by my prediction that on 11/29/09 the Vikings will take down the Bears. Actually, I am going to go all the way and say the Vikes are going to win the Super Bowl. And, if I am wrong, Perfesser, I will have a special "forgive me for challenging the Bears" treat just for you!:)

What Vike fans fail to realize is that Jay Cutler is a lot better than Favre, an that Adrian Peterson isn't nearly that much better than Forte.

Minnesota will have to win on the road against tough opponents to win out over the Bears and Packers. I don't see it.

Soj, I think the Vikes will win the North but nothing in the NFL surprises me. Case in point -- a bad Arizona team coming within one great catch by the Steelers of winning the Super Bowl last year.

And Cutler has a long way to go to be a lot better than Favre was in his prime.  He's better than Favre today, but, hell, Favre is an old shit like you and me!!!!

And as much as I like Forte, he is not even in the same league as AP.  Peterson is head and shoulders the best back in the NFL.

But, enough of the NFL, let's talk about GiaMarie's hot body.  Certainly a more enjoyable topic, wouldn't you say???

Sports Illustrated picked the Bears to hit the Super Bowl, not the Vikes OR Packers.   But perhaps that was already being published BEFORE Favre decided (was it the fifth or sixth year doing this?) that since pre-season training was over that NOW he couldn't wait to play again.  LOL!

I wish you Vikings fans luck... Favre is pretty amazing, but he depends entirely too much on luck.  

I also blogged about this so you know I'll be watching the games closely Sunday and Monday!

Yeah, but pretty much only football.... love that full body contact and all those guys in tight pants....What can I say? I'm such a girl....

Baseball and basketball lose me because I just don't have enough time in my life to live and die over that many games!!!!!!!!!  It WOULD have been pretty funny if the Packer Viking game on Monday night had had to move venues for the Twins Tigers playoff.

That change of venue still might happen. The Sox just beat the Tigers again and helped the Twins tie the Tigers for the lead. If the Sox can finish off the sweep and the Twins can get it done in KC....they should give some of that champagne to the Sox.

I'm so proud of the Sox for playing hard to the end.

I know I know... he's an athlete out to do what he knows how to do best.  He's got a gun, and he knows how to use it and like it or not he does make his own luck a disproportionate amount of the time.  AND He wants his second ring.  

A dozen teams might have considered taking him, but he wanted only one.  Maybe for the ring he thinks the Vikes can get, maybe just to shove it back in the Packers face.  So long as he cares nothing for the millions of fans he has let down, and hearts he has broken, he's won!

God knows he looks hot in a uniform, still!  Guess I'm just a stickler for loyalty.  So spank me!

And about the "body on body" contact, if it were you and GiaMarie making that contact, the damn line to see it would be even longer than the line forming to "spank you." :-)

I am totally with you on loyalty and how important it is in all aspects of life.  But both time Favre left a team they had a great young quarterback ready to step in and both have done great jobs.  So not knowing what went on behind the scenes, maybe Favre should not be judged for an apparent lack of loyalty.

You see, I could grow very loyal to an ass like that.  And, as I said before, I agree with you wholeheartedly that loyalty is very important.

Vikes are a decent team, I grant you that. I doubt though they have enough to get out of the first round of the playoffs if they make it. If they win the Superbowl, I'll see you for 6 straight weeks. If you lose, you blow me for free. Deal?
