No, Alabama is clearly not the best team in the country. They have a very good defense and a mediocre offense and special teams. The BCS title game is a rematch that nobody outside of Tuscaloosa wanted to see. Oklahoma State or Stanford vs. LSU would be a much better game. Alabama had their shot and they lost at home. It should have been someone else's turn but instead we two crappy games in New Orleans -- the BCS title game and the Sugar Bowl between two teams that don't deserve to be in a BCS bowl game.

I am not really looking forward to seeing a rematch between Bama and LSU, but I can't dispute that they are indeed the two best teams in the country.
It would have been much more entertaining to watch LSU spank OSU and Bama destroy Stanford, but there is always next year. Of course the SEC will probably dominate next year as well. lol
