I had to tell this to someone I have a client I have seen a couple times and this morning at 8:30 I got an email from him (been a month or so) asking to set a session up. Well I had to attend a family event at my mom's rather large and very judgmental (someone manages to offend me every single time I get forced in to going there) church at 10:00am. Well I arrive and out of the side of my eye thought I saw someone who looked familiar. As the event progressed and during a break I looked around and there was the same person sitting 3 chairs down from me, so I casually looked closer. Then he came and kneeled just a foot to my right facing the event with a camera and started taking pics of it. When he returned to his seat I realized it was my client. I almost fell off my chair in hysterical laughter. You have to realize that had it been a more conservative and less proactive church denomination it wouldn't have been nearly as surprising or hysterically funny.
So now in my 7 months as a prodomme I have now had a client I worked with in the corporate world and now one that attends my moms church! Just goes to show what a small world it is and my clients are just your "average" guy
In any event I avoided looking directly at him since he was obviously there with his small children. And for 3 hours I had NEVER paid more attention to the speaker and activities than I did today (to avoid making him feel uncomfortable). Guess that's one way to get me to pay attention in church
