Dear Readers,

Does anyone have any advice for patronizing this establishment (Roosevelt) while still remaining somewhat discreet?  Any way to avoid standing awkwardly at the front desk with your date while they set you up with a tub? (Not that the staff hasn't seen it all before, but still.) I enjoy the place, but I've only been with my SO there, thus discretion was not an issue.  Any thoughts would be much appreciated.  [email protected]

I would generally arrive early before my date and pretend to just have some questions.  Talk to the staff a little and have a soda.  When my date arrived I'd pretend that my meeting with her was unplanned and spontaneous.  We would then share a room together.  The male employees get a kick out of it.  If the same employees are there the next time, just tell them that you had so much fun that you would like to see if it happens again.  Now just watch their expression when it does!!!!!

What's "Tubs". - Please explain cause I'm new at this.

If it's a temporary shelter so that you can get your business done and then be on your way.  I'm really interested because I live outside of the Seattle Metropolitan area and many providers/Agencies require me to book a hotel room closer to Seattle.  This obviously cuts into my hobbying budget and I'm stuck with a hotel room till checkout next day that I really don't need.

So, does Tubs fix that problem? - If yes, where do I find one? - Please help us inexperienced but just as horny new entrants. - Thanks

Dear Bin and Readers,

Tubs is a hot tub/tanning salon in the U. District on Roosevelt. (I believe there are other locations, search Google using "Tubs Seattle" as criteria.) They offer nice rooms, that include a hot tub, bench with light covered mattress (plenty of room to work with), sauna, low lights, shower, stereo, towels, and icewater (other non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase). Hours 7am to 2am.  It's scrupulously clean, yet not sterile feeling.  Rates are roughly $40/hour for 2.  Really a nice environment, IMHO far nicer than many motels at similar or even higher prices.

Caveats: The issue raised is discretion, it's not like a motel/hotel, you can't (that I know of) go to your tub room and wait for your date. You essentially need to check in at the front desk, and be shown as a couple to your tub by the staff.  The staff is well aware of the situation, *wink-wink-nudge-nudge-say-no-more* but some people don't like being so conspicuous.

From the responses I've gotten on this point, it's probably just an issue of getting slightly thicker skin.  Again, the staff doesn't care, business is business, you probably have more to worry about from running into friends and neighbors. I guess an analogy would be buying porno mags/condoms/renting stag films, the first few times you feel a little self-conscious, but over time, it's no big deal. LOL.

Another significant caveat, not everyone will do Tubs.  Your date may not be comfortable being seen there on a consistent basis.  Also, agencies like EB don't deliver to Tubs.  So you will find a more limited selection if you want to meet there.

So to answer you question: Yes, it is a very fun, affordable alternative for outcalls, that might work well for you, given you can live with the caveats mentioned (discretion, less availability).

Have fun, stay safe and leave the lights ON!!
