First, I applaud you for your "coming out."  To post such a message on a public board is board takes a lot of guts, as you risk getting ridiculed by the old timers.

The best advice that I could offer you is to contact a few ladies who've posted their availability on this discussion board.  Be up front about your being new to this hobby (trust me, most will sense your inexperience if you try to BS your way through) and direct their attention to your original post.  Keep in mind that many ladies will subject you to some extensive pre-screening prior to agreeing to see you.  Once you've established yourself after seeing a few providers you can, with the ladies' permission, use them as references to see others.

Ummm, I understand that you may have been surfing eros and some of the other ad boards in your new quest, but you need to bear in mind that photographs and ads always display providers in the most flattering light.  Tommy Edwards and other photographers make their living making people look extremely hot, playing up the assets, obscuring the blemishes.  Not to burst your bubble, but providers airbrush out gnarly tats, submit 10 year old pics, hide C-section scars, understate their weight, wear wigs, understate their age, and various other little fun surprises.

So as gigi said, you should really study the reviews before you start expecting to get a supermodel every time out.  The reviews must be your gospel.  Remember, a woman's willingness to perform sex acts with you for money, sight unseen, is a prerequisite for being a provider--stunning beauty isn't.  Don't get me wrong, there are some very attractive, wonderful women in this business, and of course, everyone's idea of beauty and wonder varies.  But don't go in with the mistaken impression that you'll be stepping into the pages of a penthouse pictorial just because you're paying for sex.

Went to Vegas to see in the new year and wouldn't you know it, one of the providers I am interested in was down there!!! sad news of course is I didn't know it till I was back in Seattle!!!
