I'll be road-tripping along the west coast in July, and ending my trip in Seattle.  
 
I've never been there before, so I'd sincerely appreciate your advice on where'd be the most convenient spot[s] to host.

Assuming you are only planning to stay for a few days, at your companionship level you really have only 2 options: downtown Seattle or downtown Bellevue. Either would work for you but check the hotel prices before you come as Cruise ship traffic in Seattle and Convention traffic in Bellevue can have significant impacts on rates and availability.
