I can appreciate your question. Perhaps it's your approach, and I'd suggest taking a look at the posts on this discussion board by Mr. Green Eyes. He enjoys helping newbies get started in this hobby. Often, ladies won't respond to email if you don't ask the right questions. Follow Mr. Green Eyes's advice and you'll soon be an old pro at this.
What's important in getting started is to never be afraid to ask questions. Who knows ... you may help others as well.

PS: Oh, one more thing. I've always made two attempts to make contact with a lady. If no response is received within a reasonable period of time between each attempt then just move on to another and never take it personally.
Would anyone know why some providers decline to respond to e-mails when they supply them as a means of contact? I have tried to contact Ayu (Miss Yumi) on several occasions (about a month apart) with no response. It looks like she responds to phone calls (judging by her reviews) but I feel more comfortable making first contact with a provider through the e-mail if they advertise one. I'm assumning that her e-mail is down and will just try to contact her from time to time to see if she will respond. I am really new to this, so maybe my approach is wrong. Perhaps providers would rather a phone call first. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

She posted on TRB saying she'll be out of town from Feb 27 till March 13th. Also complained about the 100+ emails she gets a day. I spoke with her briefly once and she is a bit of a flake (others on TRB have noticed this too)
Given the number of good providers we have in Seattle, move on and put her on your "to do" list.
...providers can get swamped with emails, many only have intermittent access to the internet, some are slow typers, lots don't really understand computers very well, and in the end you're gonna have to call anyway, so just cut to the chase and pick up the phone.
You can't delete a phone call, and usually there is more accountability on her side if you've actually spoken with her, or left voicemail. That's not to say that VMs don't go unanswered either, but if I'm really jonesing to see a certain provider, I'll always call.
Also providers appreciate phone calls, because it means the guy is probably more serious. Actions speak louder than words, and a phone call is more action than an email. The bane of providers are the "tire-kicking" men who like to dilly-dally with tons of get-to-know-you emails. This is a waste of a providers time and energy, and IMHO is disrespectful. Many providers don't use email for this very reason, too easy to abuse.
All the providers on this board could tell us many stories of all the men who like to strike up email conversations, promising to book, wanting to set things up, blathering on about their life story, and then never making the call.
If email is her only means of contact, sure, you have no choice. If she's not responding to email then, that's another story, it means she doesn't want your business. Best to move on to someone who does.
Wow!!! I never realized those things. Thanks guys for all your help. This discussion board is a wonderful support forum. Ah-hem, now I shall start over with a better technique.
