I love it here. I intend to become a paying VIP member if there's a way I can pay anonymously

Why join here & then proceed to complain about all the things you don't like about this site?  Be happy there is an established alternative to the other site available.  I joined over there in 2007 & participated frequently, but it's OVER. Learn to adjust & move forward. Accept it the way it is, or post your opinions on the Suggestion & Policy board. Ya'll just got here & are already trying to change the way things are run on this site.  Post after post about how much better the other board is annoying and doesn't add anything productive to the boards.  It wasn't Utopia over there, so please stop painting it as such.  One a related note, I wonder how many of the people pointing out all the ways in which the site is lacking are even paid VIPs here. That's a lot of nerve to complain about a site when basic membership is free....

Lonely and scared people like a place to complain, and most complaining is done in a safe environment, so there you go. The crazy aunt who lives in the basement is till up and running, but very few complaints. Goes back to safety. I think this place is great, especially once you learn how to maneuver things and get around. It is very helpful that TER has very basic instructions for most everything, so i think people will get used to it in no time. :)

Excuse some of us who may still be a little discombobulated from having the rug pulled from under our feet, so to speak. Put yourself in our position and maybe...just maybe, you might have a little sympathy or understanding until we get the hang of things here.

Nice olive branch! However, most of the membership here have been really helpful. Thank you

As a native San Franciscan who got my start as an online sex worker at that other site, I understand & I sympathize. I've been a member of boards that have been shut down suddenly.  It's a shock, I get it.  But, I think it's very disrespectful for people to come here and gripe when they could choose to be grateful there is a FREE alternative available.  This site is better than nothing, correct? It will become home to many transplants.  It doesn't create a positive first impression of new members when a multitude of posts are about how TER doesn't measure up to that other board.  To clarify, I'm only talking about the members who are complaining.  Nobody has to be a member here.  If one doesn't like it, they're free to leave.

I also regularly advertised at that other site, was reviewed there & was active in the Vegas and other forums.  I'm not just chiming in here for the f%!* of it.  I lost something in the closure, as well.  But, it's not the end of the world.  No one site is the final arbiter of the skin game.  As to your olive branch comment, you're making a judgment about me/my attitude toward the new wave of members based on one post.  I've posted in several threads in the SF forum here offering advice.  I'm happy to help when/if I can. I'm glad people are finding their way here, I just take issue with the badmouthing of a site that is welcoming you all with open arms.  That is all.

Hate to say it (not really). Most on the other site just wanted someplace to login and complain anyway. Complainants and lapdogs... all it really was at the end.

The good news is, they will soon tire of the new (TER) format, the lack of Mod's to save them and most importantly and easy way to rile the masses...

Amen!  If they don't like it here, they are more than welcome to leave... or make their own site to sit around and be whiny little keyboard warriors.  I'm glad that site is gone and anyone with self-respect and half a brain will happily agree.

And here's my own message to the same people:

Yep there's wisdom in the saying: "you don't know what you got til it's gone!"

Then there's also the saying "Nothing lasts forever!

shoot I am just happy to have a place to be, ya the other site was convenient and a little easier to navigate
but shoot yep its over time to move on and make the best of things. I for one am grateful to be here and excited to make some new friends!!

Can be accomplished by paying with a money order.  Sign into your account, and look at the last pulldown menu (on the right), entitled "Buy VIP". You can also access the VIP purchase info through the "Account Manager" tab, at the top of the page and to the right.  All details are listed in both places.

I agree wholeheartedly and just wanted to say thank you.  I really appreciate having somewhere to post.

I think a lot of us from the other site are definitely shell shocked. I just lost almost 4yrs worth of great reviews and had just made a significant financial investment in my ad. It's important to be empathetic and try to see things from the perspective of others. People need to vent (we all do this from time to time) to help with closure and new beginnings. I do agree that we all need to try to adjust as gracefully as possible.

Best of luck to everyone!

i feel your pain Charlotte it will not be easy for most to start over i almost put more $ into my VIP pass on the other board but did not so i took that $ and put it into a VIP pass on TER

TER has it's good points that i like when writing a review and reading a review and somethings i dislike about writing a review when doing a review on someone you need to be precise you need to dot all your I's and cross all your T's if you don't your review will not post

but knowing how precise you need to be on TER when doing a review  the only think one need to do is sniff out the fake reviews and that would be the same on any review board i think

still shell shocked myself

As somebody who was there in early '07, I hope that site and it's disgraced owner along with his minions remain in their toxic waste dump for eternity.

I have been on both boards since 2002 and charter member on the "other board" but that doesn't make it any easer to have ones daily dose so to speak leave so abruptly. Like any other service, they are a business, run their own way and one has a learning curve. Just like Windows 8( which I disliked intensely) it takes a bit of time to learn the new place. Like a new city, you learn the ins and outs and after awhile it becomes rote. The honest ones will learn and the "bitchers" will get tired and move on.

About Utopia, it was for those who didn't have anything but time and needed a pastime. Or those who wanted to discuss the hobby for free, get a few free thrills and never spend a dime on the ladies. JMO but it seems those types always complain about any cost for any service, any where in life.

I was a VIP for years and active in some private boards. Just never going to get that stuff back and lost touch with so many people all of a sudden.
