Okay Bay Area Sports Fans...as we get closer to the Fall Season of Sports, here is your poll for this week:  What Bay Area Sports Team are you rooting for (Basketball, Football, & Hockey) - the team that will make the Bay Area proud.

For me it's the SJ Sharks.  Go Sharks!

Local Ladies- do you get many "dates" taking you to a game?

Since I'm from the Northeast, I'll speak my piece on my teams. Obviously, I'm a diehard Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots fan, but if I had to root for one Bay Area team, it would have to be the 49ers. Frankly, I don't think they have a snowball's chance in hell, but I like 'em. Out of all of them, the only one with good potential is the Sharks.

Now for my dig! All four of my teams went to the playoffs last year. Of those four, two of them are holding world championships, and another went to the championship game. Before you blast away, remember that any true sports fan with that much to brag about just can't keep his mouth shut.

RAIDERS RAIDERS RAIDERS RAIDERS RAIDERS

Add Kevin Garnet and Ray Allen to Golden State and they would have won the chahpionship.  Boston bought that one!  The Pats were heavy heavy favorites and  lost!  The Red Sox  you can be proud of they only have the second highest payroll in mlb. Go Raiders!!

Can't argue with your teams - they are pretty freaking awesome.  I think the only sport the Bay Area can compete would be Arena Football - the Sharks can make a run at it again.

Can't get really excited about any of the local teams this year. Would rather hobby than pay the inflated ticket prices.
Sometimes the minor leagues and colleges have better entertainment - at least their heart is in the game and not their wallet.

Agree- I stopped watching NBA when Dr. J retired. Stopped paying attention to Football when Montana retired.

Now, I watch and root for our local hockey (seems the athletes are more down to earth).

and could probably get back again if it was possible to make a trade for a new owner.

With some minor rebuilding, the Giants are only about three years away from a legitimate run.

Yes. I am lucky enough to have dates take me to games. In fact I will be watching the Giants on Monday night with my date. My favorite is Hockey though. It is very big in Tampa and My girlfriend has season box seats. She sells them to me for date packages. In fact October 25th we play the Sharks if anyone want to join me at the game.

Nice to see one of the Tampa ladies out our way.

hope you are enjoying the weather here....I am a big Sharks fan. Arena is a fun place to watch the game. Enjoy the visit!

****GO NINERS***** we are called old faithful for a reason right? Even if we suck I have to cheer them on...go to games...wear my red proudly.

As for dates to games, I was invited to a dodgers game once and I said HELL NO, since the guy was a dodgers fan. I am way more faithful to my city and that would be like blasphame right??

I'm a semi-local lady so I will add my thoughts here.

I love sports and wish more of my local dates took me to games.  I have admittedly gone to many venues while in Seattle but I would love to go to the various stadiums and venues here. There is nothing like being at a game!

I am an avid college football fan and even though they haven't done so well in the past 10 years, I always root for my Alma Mata the University of Washington Huskies.

Go Huskies!

Thanks for the post!  Hope you are enjoying the lovely CA weather!
