That was my point.

Perhaps I wasn't clear...my point was that any provider posting client info would be on my DNS list immediately...I'd cut them slack on NC/NS to some degree.

Hi gang,

I'd like to get your opinion about a provider who posts client personal information (i.e., the client's email address) on a hobbyist/provider internet bulletin board (anyone can join the board) when they didn't call or show up to an appointment.

I can understand being pissed for a NC/NS client...but, I have a hard time not being angry with a provider who violates one of what I consider the "Cardinal Rules" (in my opininon) of hobbying.

Thanks for your opinion...!

Can't disagree with you.  NC/NS sucks for both providers & hobbyists but it's still no reason to out someone's personal info.  That would be akin to someone posting her in-call location for the same reason.  If a guy pulls a no-show post his ass on a DNS list.

If I ever saw a provider do that she would immediately be on MY DNS see list...and a lot of others as well, even if she was a 10/10...

As others have already alluded in previous posts, in hobbying "discretion" is of paramount importance.

Yes! BOTH providers and on occasion hobbyist do flake.   And, needless to say both cause consternation.   However, one recommended approach of dealing with this is to call the person in question 15 minutes past the scheduled meeting time to see what the hell is going on.   If there is no answer on the phone ... there may be extenuating circumstances.

For the first time, give someone the benefit of the doubt ... and, from then on write them off!   No point wasting time.

However, posting personal information about anyone on a public forum, or a website is a no no.   Anyone could easily get their hands on it, and it could spell real trouble for all concerned.

A gal who does this is off my list!
