Hello everyone! I’m considering doing a possible tour to the San Francisco area later this year, possibly fall, but I thought since I don’t know the area it may be best to ask the community what neighborhoods generally work best.

Im still considering either a hotel/Airbnb but either way please do not mention hotel names in this at all. I just want neighborhood names of what I should be looking at that would be easiest for people to get to & safe.

South Beach

Rincon Hill

Mission Bay

I am SF local . Union Square, Soma, Financial district and  and North Beach are the best places to stay.  
Most people prefer Union Square since it is the heart of SF, busy, in the middle of all shopping places, hotels and restaurants and close to everything. I hope this is helpful.

There are smaller nice hotels just north of Geary St near Union Square, also some near Fisherman's Wharf.  All nice and I have had family and friends stay in those areas.  Airbnb is always a good option... if you find a neighborhood and would like feedback please do so.  Good luck.
