The climate is currently somewhat warm (this weekend was beautiful) but it will start cooling off her pretty soon.

I know I would be interested in spending time with you if you came out this way and I'm sure others would as well.  

I would NOT cancel and even though it does happen from time to time, I wouldn't necessarily say it's the "norm" for the area.

As for "discounts", I'm not a negotiator and I don't know how many there really are out here.  Stick to your guns, is my advice.
