You might consider joing Date-Check or Preferred411. They both work quite well, and they have a referral feature similar to the whitelist on TER.

Most girls who require references are happy to give them, especially if you are someone they have seen recently, and/or regularly.

If she is a girl that doesn't require references, then just cross her off you list and find ones that do. For me, if a girl does't require references, it means that she is not careful, and there is a good chance that you won't have such a great experience with her.

If she is a girl that requires references, and won't give them, well then, she is just selfish, and again, it is an indication that she may not be all that much fun.
