Ashley, Hungry1951 has already given you some good advice about checking out the information for 'newbies'.  This whole hobbying community is kind of an 'underground' society with lots to understand and learn.

As for setting up your own website, that would be a good first step if indeed you were looking to have your own business as an independent.

But, if you are looking to work for an agency and, as a new lady, take advanatage of their services and security, then you will need to find and contact some agencies that appeal to you.  You can usually find agency's who are hiring by checking the escort malls like cityvibe, lovings, eros, etc.  Here's a url for the cityvibe listings:  http://san-francisco-escorts.cityvibe.com/escorts/ , for example.  Click on the 'Adult Help Wanted' selection on the left panel and you will find what you're looking for.

There are similar sites if you look around. It would be important to look everything over carefully, read a lot, and contact only those with whom you feel comfortble.
