is when I'm travelling, so I rarely get to see the same lady more than once or twice. That, in itself, can suck, because I've seen some ladies that I'd love to see over and over and over. Back to the question...This is one of the reasons that I belong to Date-Check and Preferred411. It does make the screening easier for the ladies. There are a few ladies that I have only seen once or twice who will give me a reference, but I don't feel right asking.

I am happy to offer a reference after a single meeting, although I may let the lady inquiring know that I've met the gentleman just once. The only other time I may balk slightly is if it's been an extended amount of time (ie >1 year) since I last saw him.  I may let her know so she can decided if she should request additional screening.  

I love P411.  It makes life easier for everyone I think.  On the other hand, I enjoy the personal contact I get with references.  Not that we're nattering about you and your handsome physique or manly ways *grin* -- but rather it's a way to 'meet' other girls & network a bit in an industry that can be isolating to the independent girl.

I have no problem providing references right after the first time.. I can get jealous though but it's Ok
