If you are a traveling hobbiest, with short cycle time. The great providers just are not usually available. This trip I just concluded is example, No prior knowledge that I would be in San Fran for two days.
Look at your own practice, it is clear that you are a fantastic provider from your ter reports. Yet, I would bet, on short notice, to someone new to area, with references only from other cities, it will be very hard to get a same day appointment. Just to properly complete the reference checks, takes usually 2 days. In this specific situation, I actually was attempting to make appointments in early afternoon, before my client dinner meeting for later that night. So it is not like this was a booty call or late nght impluse to play thing.
So the traveling hobbiest has to settle for providers with fewer marks/reviews. I have been very lucky. I have a small group of excellent relationships in several cities. I just do not understand this SF market.
I tried to find a few of the ladies I worked with 3 years ago. two that were still in business, simply were either busy, understandable, or lost my screening records and needed a few days to update. three others were simply not located.
It is so funny. Every no show I have ever had, plus every scammer and rip off has always been in San Fran from EROS ads. the crazy thing is, that when I stay in San Jose, really minutes away, I have always had fantastic results, regardless of board source.
I am not alone in this observation. I have gotten two private emails of agreement and other advice about the huge scam rackett going on? Reportedly this is pretty common in SF area.
I do research, I am not price shopping for cheap flings. I respect and admire quality providers. I like multi-hour sesions. I always try to give several days notice or at least make appointments afternoon of my evening desired meetings.
I do like your one point of advice. If it looks like SF becomes the site of my next long term project, I will takce the time to become properly screened and aligned to a small group of superior providers. I would appreciate you forwarding your referrals in private mail so I can work the cycle when more time permits.

It has been about two years since I last cycled in to San Francisco.
I should have known better because I have the worlds worst luck with EROS, but it was an unplanned trip, and no TER high raters were available on short notice and with no local references.
I flip to EROS, find a cute blond, make connections. We agree to a two hour outcall appointment at 8:30, Rate for two hours seems a bit high, but she is extremely hot picture of a clearly young cheerleader type blond cutie.
Time for me to clean up and relax before "game time". Now, near 11. A no show.

This has happened to me several times, always from EROS and it seems like only in San Fran. Is it the board or is it the city.
I am in nice business travel hotel by airport. Easy to find. Totally confused.
Why would the provider take the call, let alone quickly agree to the appointmetn then bail.
I wish TER would let us track this behavior. This feels far more common than Rip Off behavior.
I can easily name 4 or 5 reliable providers listed on Eros that are all very highly reviewed.

who answered your post! You can't go wrong with either ...or what the hell....both!
I think there are two separate things at work here:
1) The reliability of providers on the Eros-Guide SF site.
2) The availability of SF Bay Area providers on short notice.
I consider these two different things which can coincide with each other.
With regard to the reliability of providers on the Eros-Guide SF site, it can really be a hit or miss. I've met some great, reliable ladies on Eros-Guide and I've met some flakes. I've met some ladies outside of Eros-Guide who had later run Eros-Guide ads and I don't believe their running Eros-Guide ads resulted in their reliability being reduced at all.
I think the reliability of providers on Eros-Guide, in general, is a topic of discussion. I've met ladies with ads on Eros-Guide who were visiting SF who turned out to be complete rip-offs. Was this because they advertised on Eros-Guide or was it because they advertised on the SF Eros-Guide site? I'm thinking it's neither and I simply didn't do enough "homework" before booking an appt.
In the case of SF Bay Area based providers being available on short notice, this can be an issue regardless of where they advertise. I can certainly understand your frustration as I've been in that situation (wanting to book a session on short notice) many times and most of them, I ended up spending time with my tried and true fallback lover... "Palmela". LOL
I don't travel much so I don't have a ton of experience with booking last minute appts in other cities. I have had an absolute FIASCO with a provider I arranged to meet in Las Vegas. She was based in LV and I made a trip out there TO SEE HER and she never gave me her contact number and didn't call me until midnight of the night we were to meet asking why I had not called her. I sent her e-mail DAILY two to three days before my trip, including the MORNING OF my trip letting her know I didn't have contact info for her and I asked that she call me. I made sure to put my phone number in EACH message I sent her.
On another trip I took, it was a business trip and I decided to book a "spontaneous", last minute session and I ended up calling some agencies, so I thought, and ended up not seeing anyone at all.
For those who do visit other cities, is it relatively easy to book appts with reputable providers on short notice?
No shows really aggravate me as well.

Sorry, but I consider myself a well-reviewed provider & I have advertised on EROS for plenty of years now. I think that maybe you are just picking the wrong girl. I have noticed a great deal of fake agency listings on Eros. but if you did your homework on TER before setting yourself up for failure you would not have that problem.
I could always put my blond wig back on if that would make you change your mind. LMFAO!
on EROS. Their ads looked good, skeds looked good for me, & then I went to TER & established that they were reliable providers with lots of positive reviews. EROS is only one source of info, but I might have missed 2 of my ATFs forever if I'd not looked there.
It's a bit like using classified ads looking for a used car (no offense to the ladies). You see a 2003 Camry at an attractive price, so you go research 2003 Camry's to try to decide if it's a good deal.
Don't expect this hobby to require no effort from you. If your style is to find an attractive ad & just call to make an appointment, expect to be disappointed from time to time, and carry your lawyer's phone no. at all times.
