i'm visiting a friend in the mission district from wednesday to saturday and will have lots of free time while he is working during the day

don't know anything about who to see (thinking about maxine based on her ads on eros), but how far and easily accessible is the mission district from other places eros lists in san fran like the different parts of the bay (east/north/south)?  by BART or car?
