There are various sites where you can find a Tantra practitioner in your area. One is Goddess Temple (we can't post URLs, but do a google search on it).

There is a group up in Marin who offers seminars on Tantra, non-violent communication, shamanic exploration, etc. Their name is Celebrations of Love, which you can also google.

My only warning is check out the "education" of the provider or instructor you are considering. Some people do not have any Tantra training at all, and use it as a marketing gimmick to pull more business, when all they are doing is lighting a candle for a massage. By the same token, Tantra is not something someone "does" to you, but it is a practise to master the mind and body so you can experience the fullest pleasure from it. It takes work, but many feel it's been life-changing, including myself.

Hi, I am signing up for a week-end Tantra seminar. Living in the Bay area, I have been into Yoga and meditation for a while (of course!). But I never "connected the dots" with my sexuality, until recently friends told me about a Tantra Seminar they attended with Caroline & Charles Muir and strongly recommended it. I knew about Tantra of course, but never really "dared" attending such seminars...
So my questions are:
- Do you gals know about these seminars? What do you think of them?
- Have you attended them personally? Do you have friends who have?
- Any suggestion on which offer the best atmosphere (and best value!)?
- Had lovers/boy friends who increased their sexual intensity/connection with you after "entering" Tantra?
Please share your experience.

No to all the above but it's not a lack of interest as much as not knowing that there are even seminars. Thanks!

I've been to one weekend Tantra seminar hosted by Margo Anand and it was quite the experience.  :)

Have fun at the Muir seminar and be sure to let us know how it goes!  :)

Peace...

Definitely! It's on the May 14 week-end in Houston, I will post on my return to let you guys know how it was, and give them a... huh... Review!

You will get out of it what you put into it... and the quality of teachings will vary from seminar to seminar.

I have heard some unpleasant things about the Muirs... they apparently put great pressure on female participants to allow goddess massage with men they may never have met before. That is a misfortune, becuz it will likely cause some women who are uncomfortable with that dynamic to become more introverted. The majority of their teachings seem to focus on goddess and god massage, but there is soooooo much more to Tantra than prostate or g-spot massage. Using peer pressure to get a reluctant participant to "go along" with everyone else is hardly Tantric, IMO. Respecting the boundaries and maintaining trust is paramount.

OTOH, I have hard very good things about Margot Anand's seminars, many of which are held at Harbin Hot Springs (a really cool place in itself). My own Tantra training was with a local Tantrika in the Bay Area, Chandra Devi. I've also supplemented my studies with various books and classes with those who offer bodywork focused on moving energy throughout the body. I know Bast went thru Margot Anand's facilitator training, which is something I would like to do myself eventually.

I would have to agree with Salena as far as The Muir's.....I of course don't say anything unless I have something good to say..Well unless it's of utmost importance to someones safety or I have experienced it first hand..(which in this case I haven't) but I do have some information regarding Mr. Muir and it confirms the same information that SnowFox posted......

Anyhow since I haven't experienced The Muir's for "myself" I will just confirm what Salena has written and I would highly recommend researching what it is your looking for and find "the best"! If your not into researching then I would just beware of ones intentions...Do they really want to expand your sexual chakras or there own? Just like in "everything" because you have (1) bad experience does't mean all is bad.....it just depends on ones perspective!

I can recommend a great book "The Art Of Sexual Ecstasy" by Margo Anand this is a great starting point and cost a fraction of the price.
