old site differences to ter

never saw that coming so suddenly. glad that i had diversified my review portfolio a long time ago, mainly because i hobby in other regions but also because of this situation happening.

i didnt see this in other posts, but thought it would be helpful to list out some main differences.
* private message - must be ter vip
* ads - only one type of ad (on ad boards) instead of classifieds and forum ads
* boards - only one regional board for sf/sac, no subforums
* private forums - some available but not to same extent
* reviews - only one active review per reviewer per provider at a time, if you want to update or write second review, the first one is removed
* review ratings - all reviews are moderated, they stick to certain service ratings so 10/10 ratings cannot be given out without certain checkboxes, also only ratings for looks and service no ratings for face/body and attitude
* board ratings - non existent, instead there is a whitelist that providers can put you on

if im missing anything else, please chime in and i can edit this post.

i was never vip on the other board, and am vip on this board because of reviews and other feedback reports. so i cant compare the vip experience.

overall my opinion is that the other board was better for forums, ter is better for ads. ter has better review reliability, but you need vip to see the ratings which the other board didnt require.

there are also a couple other sites that could be used in norcal, but to me ter is superior to those. one of the other sites is mainly socal, the other site is mainly south.

Even more useful information! I am having my old friends come this way, and this would an easy quick fact introduction for them. I think technically, the rules make sense. Things are kept tidy and neat, which is great. As for the lack of sub forums, i think it might deter people form posting as they used to. Perhaps posts will have more relevance per topic, and you get feedback from people outside of your area which could offer a new perspective. For example, the BDSM board is not really as area specific, but i think it is loaded with good info.

Totally agree. There is no Chico area either. I used to find some providers there, and thanks to the review system, rob reports, fakes, etc., I was saved several times. BP without a review system is, imo, worthless.

Nah I wouldn't say worthless. However I'd say "Russian roulette"! LOL.

I stopped using TER a few months ago because my ads were not going up in a timely fashion. By the time my ad was posted it was the next day and I only work two or three days in a row.  Now, since the other place went down, I have tried almost every single day. I also only work a couple days so having my ads go up within a few hours is crucial to my success and being seen. I have not included pics or links to my site as my site is a cookie cutter site and they do not allow me the option of having TER banners on my first or main page... I haven a banner on my links page but ter says it has to be on the first page. I might just remove the banner from my site if it has no use. Had I known that at first, i may have used a different website builder. Not sure why they will not post my ads. It sucks... I might just have to start going somewhere else. No way will I pay VIP to a site if I cannot even get an ad up!

...couple of possibilities. Try using the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page. Ask admin why your ads are not being accepted. One other thing to consider. You may be moderated. TER board admin checks each of your posts, ads included, before they show up. The delay time varies. Ask board admin to remove you from moderation. Use the contact us link to do that. I hope this helps.

Thanks. I did what you suggested...let's see.

Thanks!

Maybe post your ad a day or 2 in advance? That also gives clients a chance to plan their time with you.  The good ole days of instant gratification are apparently gone :-(

Yeah, I was hoping to get my ads up every Wednesday since I work Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays only but they refused my ad yesterday. I got a reply from the admin... they said I must include a link on my ad even if it is directly to my ter reviews. So I will try that. The only problem is its Thursday now and I will have to either wait till next Wednesday or post now and hope my schedule does not change.

Thanks for the advice... Yes pre-advertising has a lot of good value to it!

I'm having the same problem posting an ad. Any ladies know what we're doing wrong?

I figured it out & finally got an ad up yesterday. I simply followed the steps xyz suggested & reached out to admin. They were actually very helpful. Call me if you need more help. My numbers with my reviews. ;) good luck.
