Hey all I have a really good friend who lives about 90 minutes from San Francisco and I am trying to surprise her with a unique gift that she can actually use. What are the popular steak houses or arts attractions that are hot right now?

...for a few days...Monterey Plaza Hotel has a nice day spa, not to mention fabulous views... great restaurants all around the area, and plenty of art galleries both in town and 5 minute south in Carmel.  Plus, if your friend is in the biz, theres a guy posting a few threads up looking for a evening date in Monterey...maybe hit two birds with one post, lol!
