I understand the whole, lets move on mentality, but for some of us, that board was our source of advertising, socializing, references and female support. In other words we will clearly need to move on, but let us mourn a bit. Be sad for a loss. Maybe we need to whine for a bit before completely moving on.

The boards that were put up to replace the one we used to use was taken down by the website powers that be. Big brother is everywhere! Maybe someone should start up a message board from Amsterdam or Las Vegas...

Maybe that's a sign to let the other site family die. We are in a new era for us and we need to adapt or we will sink.
yeah I just tried logging into that site. man, it was great seeing some familiar faces for the short time it was up. It was just like old times. There must be another board going somewhere.

I agree with Jamie; a proper period of mourning is called for. We lost a community last week, and
even though parts of it was crude and very aggravating, much of it was a place where like minded folks could find each other and express themselves. Silencing the free exchange of ideas and
views is the antithesis of what our country is supposed to be. And although the other site was
careless, and allegedly participated in some illegal activities, one is still innocent until proven
otherwise. The harm perpetrated by the authorities far outweighs whatever the other site was
doing, particularly when one considers the good.
I hope that many of us will find our way here, and that the best parts of the old site will live on
in the halls of TER.

Hindsight is 20/20 of course, but if you Google the name of the other site and "adult content" or "tos adult" you'll see that their policy is pretty restrictive. Other boards at least allow adult content.

How could they (DOJ, et al) have turned on us so completely; after giving such long-standing support as a community?
I guess that's the trouble with the political correctness, du jour; it is so capricious.
Thank goodness for the likes of TER, etc. There is something to be said for being based off-shore.

I heard there were like 800 people added in 7 days. It just goes to show what word of mouth will do. I agree this is a good substitute but I promise someone will soon come a new with a site similar to out beloved and it will spread like wildfire. Hopefully they Dont make the same mistakes as these other Sites, Forums and chatrooms.

@HotLatinaLover- i'd like to think Ray was speaking to me when she said that. Always liked that one, as she was one of the few that had original thoughts not swayed by the simpletons.
That said, if you got the boot from chat (TWB aka BIKE) that was the same lapdog that took the words of another and booted "hoss" from the now defunct board.
Funnier issue was watching it all unfold in the forum. Another alt handle comes in handy for those types of things!!!! Heck, the handle used wasn't even mine. Pays to have good alliances to CHASE things away.

Oh well it looks like the world is CRYING out for a heroe. Let us hold hand and pray a heroe who can come along and take over the mantle of Mr. Red. Someone who is rich, smart and knows how to put the servers in countries such as Russia, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba... where they ain't no friends of the USA.

Probably don't need to go to those places that despise the USA. Plenty of offshore places still protect privacy, and Seychelles was probably a very good choice
The hero doesn't need to be all that rich; and smart only in knowing how to write computer code/software.
Given the current state of the witch hunt, I'm thinking this hero may have to feel comfortable staying off US soil. When that hero succeeds in establishing a satisfactory replacement for the good ole days, and finds a comfortable and safe place to reside, I certainly hope he will tell us where that new land of the free and home of the brave is on the global map because this place (although still great in many ways) is certainly not what it used to be.
