Was talking to a provider friend of mine, and I was thinking of making a calendar of the major national events in 2009 - Mardi Gras, Jazz Festival, Reno Air Races, New Mexico Balloon Festival, Fleet Week, Cherry Blossom Festival, things like that.
Thought was that local and traveling providers could use the info to mix business with a little sight-seeing and personal fun.
She remarked she would use the calendar as times to avoid those cities, as law enforcement activities in those areas would be at a higher level than normal.  Is that really the way it is - major events are a good time to lay low or get out of town?
