Question for the ladies: How do you choose which cities you visit when you tour?

I've noticed the S.F. Bay Area is sometimes avoided when some touring providers are on the west coast.  They sometimes visit L.A. and San Diego and then go up to Portland or Seattle and bypass the S.F. Bay Area completely.

Of course, I appreciate those who do choose to visit the Bay Area as I might have a chance to finally meet someone I've been wanting to meet for a long time (like Erin O'Bryn even though I've missed her BOTH times she's been here... :( ).

What criteria do you use to choose which cities you visit when you tour?

I get gentlemen requesting to see me and then I put it on the schedule. I hope to hit every state in the next 2 years.

I posted on the Vegas board twice, and got ZERO emails from hobbiests. I was lucky in that I had a client already coming from out of state, and was more than happy to let me mooch off of him. Of course it helps that I am very fond of him, and he knows exactly how to ring my bell.

Thanks for the reply.  :)

When you experience lack of response sometimes, like with your Vegas experience, does that bruise your ego at all or is that just "part of the biz" and no big deal for you at this point?

I am so busy at the home-front I need to make more time to travel...........ummmm maybe I'll start in SF

How many of the states have you visited so far? :)

I have a few regulars in SF who talked me into coming out for my birthday weekend. As far as choosing other cities I tend not to venture to far from home, (something I'm working on. ;0)

I have decided to head to the East coast when it warms up a bit. I love your idea of hitting every city in two years Michelle..........what a fun goal to have.

Great!  When will that weekend be?  Happy EARLY birthday (in the event I miss your post announcing your visit).  :)

Easy ... I look at a list of cities I like and then I call me travel agent so I can get the best rates on flying and the coolest boutique hotels... Love em then I see how long I can stay... Other wise it is completly up to the request of a client...

Ok.. sounds like a simple plan to me.  :)

Which cities do you tend to prefer?  Of course San Francisco as at the top of that list, right?  ;)

Las Vegas, LA, and NY are probably chosen because they seem to have bigger spenders.

San Diego has a marine base which might be popular these days.

I think SF was more popular during the tech days but has died down a bit.

You know, I've heard something similar about guys on the East Coast being a bit more generous than guys on the West Coast.  What about Seattle?  I know Seattle tends to be a fairly popular city to visit.
