I hate traveling alone, it's harder to go out and do things !

Hello San Francisco!

So I have finally concluded that I need to visit one of the coolest cities I have heard of and now I am at a crossroads..lol what should I do in my down time? I would LOVE to hear from the peanut gallery on their thoughts, ideas, desires, and inputs on everything in San Francisco!

I will be staying in Union Square :]

Thank you honies!

Where to even start?  Today I took a long walk through Golden Gate Park.  Even though it was overcast it was still beautiful.  Just so you know...GG Park does not lead to GG Bridge.

GG Park
GG Bridge (you can walk on it)
Chinatown (you'll be fairly close but it's touristy)
Haight-Ashbury (Conviently located near GG Park)
Coit Tower
The Ferry Building/walk along Embarcadero
DeYoung museum

There's also plenty of shopping, theatre, and restaurants.

We also can't forget taking at least one cable car ride.  :)

Peace...

San Francisco is also renowned for it's exciting and wideranging nightlife.  Check out http://san.francisco.nightguide.com/ to get some ideas.
Also, there are always good performances around the theatre district (near Union Square) and the SF symphony and opera are world class in quality.
For things you probably won't ever find in another city, check out AsiaSF, The Supper Club, The Fillmore, Pleasure Zone, Teatro Zinzanni, and some of the exotic clubs.

Have fun!

I also want to cast my vote for AsiaSF, The Supper Club, and a Pleasure Zone party (if one is going on).

try some of the San Francisco cuisine.  Italian in North Beach (my favorite is Fior D'Italia, though North Beach Restaurant is also good and cheaper), fresh seafood in the Fisherman's Wharf area (I like Scoma's & Tarantino's--both a bit touristy but also good simple very fresh fish) and if you're into Asian food at all you ought to go to Chinatown.  San Francisco has been rated one of the top 3 restaurant cities in the US (with NYC & Chcago) by a few sources.   If you're into pricey gourmet places, there's Gary Danko near Ghirardelli Square and famous chef Hubert Keller's Fleur de Lys on Sutter not far from Union Square.  Enjoy!

Don't miss the Buena Vista Cafe which is at the Wharf end of the Powell-Mason cable car line.  They introduced Irish coffee to the US in 1952 and it's worth the trip down there to try it.  If you go there for breakfast, do not pass up the hash browns.  Also, just back up the hill a bit from the end of the Powell-Hyde line is a tiny place called Pat's Cafe that has the best Eggs Benedict ever.  They only serve them on Saturday, I think.  Call ahead to check, but you will never forget the homemade Hollandaise sauce.  Both places have websites.

STRIPPERS! :D

I love crazy horse, and Myron is great! I am an hour North of SF so I don't get down there too often and consider myself as a sort of out of towner because of that. However, most times I am in SF I have to at least make a pit stop at the horse! Of course, only if you're into that sorta thing I guess....;)
