A number of years ago when I lived in the bay area I enjoyed an occasional visit to the Dragon Spa on Mason a couple of blocks off Market.  I am heading to SF business soon and was hoping to visit but looking at google earth it appear not to be there any more.

Can anyone suggest another AMP in SF near downtown, china town or wharf areas with a similar approach to customer service?

I believe that Empire is on O'Farrell near the Hilton, not on Geary; unless it moved.  

A lot of the AMPs in SF were closed in a big bust by the feds, including Dragon.  I don't remember what year this was, since I had stopped going to AMPs well before that.  I think it was around 2004-5.  We called it Black Thursday because the busts happened on a Thursday.

oddly enough with the closing of full service AMPs a lot of rub and tug type joints opened up.  Also a lot of underground AMPs also opened.

I'm not sure why it is, but one of the AMPs that escaped the bust is Empire, located on geary in downtown.  I can't comment on the quality, since I haven't been there in at least 10 years.
