While I always stay safe and use protection, I used to regularly visit the TTS testing center in Oakland to get tested. I loved it because there’s no hassles and no questions asked for why you’re getting tested frequently. It closed a few months ago and I was wondering if anyone knew what alternatives make sense in the Bay Area.  

Give free tests if you could put up with the contingent  there... but since covid I believe they only will give you a test if you say your penis/testicles hurt. I think you're being proactive and not reactive, so this probably does not work. Nevertheless, wanted to mention this since it's close to Oakland.

Yeah, thanks. Making people jump all these hoops makes zero sense to me. And free isn’t interesting either. A place where someone can proactively get regularly tested for a fee, speedy results, no appointments, no questions asked except for verifying identity, is great. I just wanna get tested like porn stars do. I wonder why the TTS in Oakland closed, not enough business…?

It went downhill for them when Kink moved out of the Armory.

You can still do TTS in SF and Martinez (new location, but shown on the map under Concord still), but since they aren't TTS operated, they'll get you with the fees.

I went to the SF location before Oakland was added, and it was easy.

Another option, perhaps, is Cutting Edge Testing. They have a location in Oakland that doesn't tack on extra fees (according to the website). But it looks like their tests do not include Covid, so be sure to find out if that may be an issue with whom you'll see.
